Controls Engineer

A position is currently available in our growing Engineering Department for a self-motivated, well-organized Industrial Controls Engineer with proven experience in material handling and heavy industries.  This position will design custom controls engineering projects to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the company and meet or exceed customer requirements. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of control systems for unique and innovative machines, equipment and systems
• Prepare controls-related bid proposals
• Work with customers, vendors and key project associates to coordinate and manage controls activities for projects
• Provide technical customer support, troubleshooting and field support as required

 

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 10 years minimum experience in electrical controls for OEM machine design and development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills are essential to interface with Customers, as well as with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering departments
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and PLC and OIT software applications
