HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

CHL Systems offers a dynamic, fast paced environment where this individual will provide administrative support, process payroll, and coordinate workflow of HR Department by performing the following duties:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll by imputing data into HRIS/Payroll system; compiles labor reports for Executive Management Team
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
  • Assist with recruitment process and maintain applicant files.
  • Prepare new employee files.
  • Process benefit enrollment and changes with insurance carriers.
  • Reconcile benefit statements and forward to Accounting for payment.
  • Maintain employee information in files and HRIS system.
  • Assist with annual performance review process.
  • Assists in administering training program and coordinate scheduling of training events.
  • Administer random drug testing program.
  • Coordinate internal wellness initiatives.
  • Assist with corporate safety program and worker’s compensation claim processing.
  • Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail and strong Organizational skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with HRIS databases, a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

 

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED plus 2-3 years experience

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
