A position is currently available in our growing Engineering Department for a self-motivated, well-organized Project Engineer with proven experience in machine design. The position will design and analyze mechanical equipment to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the company and meet or exceed customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze mechanical equipment utilizing appropriate software tools

Serve as technical leader on projects working with design support staff and Project Management as required

Plan and implement engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements per customer requirements, as required
- Develop and maintain a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project, as required
- Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly, as required
- Control labor and material expenditures within limitations of project budget
- Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
- Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
- Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
- Direct integration of technical activities and products
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Prepare interim and completion project reports, as required
- Interface with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met, as required
- Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management, as required
Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, from accredited university or college

Professional Engineering license a plus

A minimum of five years related experience in machine design environment

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or related design software

Well organized, detail oriented and self motivated
- Good time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Good oral and written communication skills
