PROJECT MANAGER
A position is currently available in the Project Management group to provide overall project leadership, technical contact and coordination of project activities to ensure performance according to the requirements of a sales contract, corresponding budget and scope of work.
Responsibilities:
- Defines project scope, schedule, cost, change management and risk analysis – initial scope supplied by Account Manager
- Initiates and monitors all project activities to ensure schedule adherence
- Prepare and maintain a detailed project schedule
- Resolve and document problems that arise during the project
- Process and expedite information requests between all internal departments and customers
- Support Account Managers and Engineers with project management issues on assigned projects
- Work with customers, vendors and key project associates to coordinate project activities
- Travel and be available as needed for assigned projects
- Prepare bid proposals
- Schedule and conduct appropriate project review meetings
- Coordinate with Engineering Operations Manager to assign appropriate and available resources
- Monitor performance to ensure cost-efficient execution
- Identify, communicate and document customer changes that affect scope, schedule, cost, or risk
- Modify schedule and cost estimates according to changes
- Initiate invoicing process at appropriate progress intervals
- Ensure that project documentation is recorded for future reference
- Review project labor and material reports to determine profitability
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associates Degree, with preference towards a Bachelor of Science degree. Prefer Mechanical Engineering, but others are considered
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to work independently and be decisive
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong Mechanical knowledge of machines & tools
