They should be used if more than one regrind is required, or when difficult and hard-to-meter materials will be used. SGBD Series - Gravimetric Batch Blender
Accurate, homogenous blend for free flowing materials - All SGBD Series batch blenders feature precision 0.02% span accurate cantilever load cells and exclusive, heavy-duty diamond design slide gate metering assemblies, which provide for 1/2% to 100% recipe range for free-flowing pellets. The adjustable slide gate stroke limiters provide for accurate metering of minor ingredients. The mixer section is designed for efficiency and blend homogeneity. All metering, weighing, and blending components are constructed of stainless steel.
SGC Series - Continuous Loss-In-Weight Blender
Accurate, homogenous blend quality - The SGC Series is designed for continuous extrusion applications. The SGC Series offers the most homogenous blend available versus common batch type blenders or mixers. Only the material weigh hoppers are mounted on precision load cells, eliminating the weight and vibration of the metering auger and motor assemblies. The SGC Series lower mass flow weigh hopper learns the exact extruder weight, continuously sends the information to the control system, and automatically adjusts the upper material feed rates to match the learned extruder rate to maintain a consistent ingredient ratio.
SPB Series - Powder Blender
A flexible, modular design for up to eight ingredients - Blend pellets, granular and powder materials at rates of up to 16,500 lbs./hr. (7,500 kg/hr) in continuous extrusion applications, including compounding, profile, fiber and sheet. SPB Series offers the most homogeneous blend available compared to common batch-type blenders or mixers. Materials include all pellets, regrind and powder materials, including wood flour and talc. Twin screw feeders can also be provided for non-free-flowing materials. SPB Series blenders provide continuous gravimetric blending that responds to changes in the recipe or extruder speed. Ingredients are homogeneously dispersed, ensuring a more consistent product cross section that results in a more consistent product. Continuous feeding eliminates surge or starvation of material at the extruder screw.
