Low maintenance filter reduces maintenance time - Every Sterling vacuum conveying system uses a remote central filter chamber to eliminate on-the-machine filter maintenance as well as to protect the vacuum pump from damage due to dust or particle ingestion. For use with any SPD pump, the SFC cartridge style filter chamber features a two-stage dust collector that incorporates a cyclonic vortex separation chamber with a large-capacity cartridge filter element to produce a highly efficient, low-maintenance filter. The FC Series bag-style filter chambers are used with our SPDB power units with patented Pulse-Jet Blowback for filter cleaning.

SFC-SC Series Central Vacuum Cyclonic Pre-Filter
Efficient, cyclonic chamber separates dust particles - The cyclonic chamber is used as a pre-filter in central dust and fine systems to protect the vacuum pump from damage. It operates as part of a central conveying system. The centrifugal force from the intake air causes the spinning motion of the rotor to separate particles from the air stream. The unit is 85% efficient up to 15 microns. Sterling central filters are designed for continuous, 24 hour operation and to protect the central vacuum pump. Pre-filters are used in high dust loading applications, and create cyclonic motion to separate large dust particles from the air stream. Pre-filters are recommended when conveying dusty materials and high levels of regrind materials and must always be used in conjunction with a central filter, which needs to be purchased separately.

Central filter chambers for vacuum pump protection - The filter system is used as a central dust and fine collection receiver to protect the vacuum pump from damage. It operates as part of a central conveying system and is controlled by the central conveying control panel. Sterling central filters are designed to protect the central vacuum pump and to run for continuous, 24 hour operation. The central filter is made out of corrosion and abrasion resistant stainless steel and cast aluminum. The cleaning of the integrated filter is accomplished automatically with either implosion or compressed air blowback. The see-through collection chamber is easily removed by quick disconnects. The unit is easy to operate, access, and maintain.

SPC Series Vacuum Conveying System
Quiet, regenerative centrifugal blower - SPC Series vacuum pump allows for the conveying of free-flowing palletized plastic materials using vacuum receivers integrated into a central conveying system. Sterling vacuum pumps are designed for 24 hour, continuous operation and is recommended for clean, free-flowing material with little or no dust. Sterling is able to provide several types of ultra compact vacuum power units to suit your conveying needs. The SPC Series vacuum pump uses a quiet regenerative/centrifugal blower and can be utilized to convey free-flowing palletized materials over distances up to 400 equivalent feet.

The SPD Series Vacuum Pump uses a high efficiency, quiet, positive-displacement vacuum pump and can be utilized to convey pellets and regrind over long distances up to 500 equivalent feet. SPDB vacuum pumps have the same features as the SPD but include an exclusive non-reversing valve system for pulse filter cleaning.

Blowback cycle cleans filter on demand - SPDB Series blowback vacuum pump features non-reversing valves with Pulse Jet Blowback and is designed to convey dusty materials and some powders over long distances. The blowback cycle cleans the filter on demand and aids in emptying the vacuum receivers. The power unit automatically cycles from load cycle to blowback with unique air directional valves without stopping and reversing the motor and blower.
